IF THIS PROJECT CONTAINS PRODUCT THAT HAS NOT BEEN APPROVED BY SONIC FOR THIS THEME, THE CLIENT IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN APPROVAL.
1. CUSTOM SEATING, INC. ( C.S.I. ) PRODUCTS ARE GUARANTEED FOR THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER (CUSTOMER) TO BE FREE OF FACTORY DEFECTS IN MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP FOR A PERIOD OF ONE ( 1 ) YEAR FROM DATE OF FIRST INVOICE.
2. DURING THIS PERIOD OF COVERAGE, C.S.I. MAY AT ITS CHOICE REPAIR, REPLACE OR PROVIDE CREDIT FOR ANY PRODUCTS PROVEN TO BE DEFECTIVE DUE TO FAULTY MATERIAL OR PROCEDURE USED DURING ITS MANUFACTURE. CUSTOMER MUST NOTIFY C.S.I. WITHIN ( 30 ) DAYS OF DISCOVERY OF DEFECT AND PROMPTLY RETURN PRODUCT ( OR A PORTION THEREOF ) AS DIRECTED. RETURN FREIGHT IS TO BE PREPAID BY CUSTOMER.
3. TO PLACE A CLAIM UNDER THIS COVERAGE, CUSTOMER IS TO CONTACT C.S.I. SALES/SERVICE PERSONNEL FOR WRITTEN RETURN AUTHORIZATION AND PROCEDURE. DO NOT RETURN MERCHANDISE WITHOUT A WRITTEN RETURN AUTHORIZATION, AS IT WILL BE REFUSED. WARRANTY WILL NOT BE EXTENDED TO GOODS RETURNED WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION. RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER PROVIDED BY APPROPRIATE C.S.I. REPRESENTATIVE SHOULD BE CLEARLY MARKED ON FACE OF PACKAGING FOR RETURNED ITEMS.
4. UPON RECEIPT AND INSPECTION OF RETURNED GOODS, C.S.I. FACTORY PERSONNEL WILL QUALIFY NATURE OF PROBLEM AND TERMS OF WARRANTY AS THEY APPLY TO CUSTOMER’S CLAIM.
5. WARRANTY COVERAGE SHALL APPLY TO ONLY THOSE GOODS JUDGED DURING FACTORY INSPECTION TO HAVE BEEN PROPERLY INSTALLED AND MAINTAINED BY CUSTOMER AS DESCRIBED WITHIN MAINTENANCE SECTION.
6. C.S.I. SHALL NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR PERFORMANCE OF ANY MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT ( HOT AND COLD WELLS, LIGHTS, HEATERS, ETC ), VINYLS, FABRICS, PLASTIC LAMINATES OR OTHER MATERIALS BEYOND STANDARD EQUIPMENT OR MATERIAL GUARANTEE ISSUED BY ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER. ANY WARRANTY FOR QUALITY OR PERFORMANCE OF CUSTOMER’S OWN MATERIAL ( COM ) IS EXCLUDED.
7. PRODUCT WARRANTY SHALL NOT COVER ANY DAMAGE RESULTING FROM ACCIDENT, MISUSE, ABUSE, NEGLIGENCE OR ALTERATION OF MERCHANDISE.
8. C.S.I. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, INJURY OR DAMAGE TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY AFTER MERCHANDISE HAS BEEN RECEIVED, INSPECTED AND FOUND TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION AND TO MEET THE CUSTOMER’S SPECIFICATIONS.
9. WARRANTY COVERAGE DOES NOT:
A. ASSUME COSTS FOR UNAUTHORIZED FIELD REPAIRS INCURRED AS A RESULT OF FACTORY DEFECT.
B. PROVIDE ALLOWANCES FOR TRANSPORTATION, HANDLING NOR INSTALLATION COSTS.
IN ANY EVENT, WARRANTY COVERAGE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF ANY ITEM JUDGED TO BE DEFECTIVE.
BUFFET UNITS
SPECIAL NOTE: VOIDS WARRANTY ON SOLID SURFACE MATERIAL IF PROPER INSTALLATION IS NOT FOLLOWED (I.E. INSULATED TAPE BETWEEN UNIT AND SOLID SURFACE MATERIAL).
NOTE: WHEN THE ONWER/GENERAL CONTRACTOR SUPPLY THE DROP-IN UNITS FOR CABINETS MANUFACTURED BY CUSTOM SEATING, INC. ALL WARRANTIES REGARDING HEAT, COLD, PLUMBING, OR ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS ARE VOID.
PRODUCT MAINTENANCE
1. PROPER MAINTENANCE IS NECESSARY TO ENSURE LONG-TERM PERFORMANCE AND SAFETY OF C.S.I. PRODUCTS. ONCE MERCHANDISE IS RECEIVED, IT BECOMES THE USERS RESPONSIBILITY TO PERIODICALLY INSPECT ALL JOINERY AND POINTS OF ATTACHMENT SUCH AS BOLTS, SCREWS, MECHANICAL FASTENERS, WELDS, GLUE JOINTS, FRAME MOUNTING BRACKETS OR PLATES, AND OTHER STRESS POINTS, TIGHTENING EACH AS REQUIRED. ANY ITEM DISCOVERED TO BE UNSERVICEABLE BY REASON OF DAMAGE OR DEFECT SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE IMMEDIATELY.
2. EXPOSED FINISH SURFACES SHOULD BE CARED FOR AT REGULAR INTERVALS IN ACCORDANCE WITH MATERIALS MANUFACTURER’S GUIDELINES. CARE AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS FOR EACH ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
3. SPECIAL NOTICE SHOULD BE GIVEN TO ANY SPECIFIC PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS OR WARNING LABELS WHICH ACCOMPANY GOODS AT TIME OF SHIPMENT OR ISSUED THRU LATER PRODUCT BULLETINS.
DAMAGE AND OTHER CLAIMS
1. CUSTOM SEATING, INC ( C.S.I. ) DOES NOT WARRANTY LOSS OR DAMAGE OF GOODS WHILE IN TRANSIT. WITH THE SIGNING OF THE BILL OF LADING AS HAVING RECEIVED MERCHANDISE IN GOOD CONDITION, THE FREIGHT CARRIER ASSUMES RESPONSIBILITY FOR MERCHANDISE WHICH AT THAT POINT BECOMES THE PROPERTY OF THE CUSTOMER. CONSIGNEE SHOULD EXAMINE ALL ITEMS UPON RECEIPT, NOTE ANY DAMAGES ON CARRIER’S BILL AND FILE A DAMAGE CLAIM DIRECTLY WITH THE CARRIER. ALL DELIVERY BILLS SHOULD BE SIGNED “SUBJECT TO INSPECTION OF GOODS” FOR CONSIGNEE’S PROTECTION, IN CASE CONCEALED DAMAGE IS LATER UNCOVERED. CONCEALED DAMAGE SHOULD BE REPORTED IN WRITING TO FREIGHT CARRIER WITHIN 48 HOURS. CONTACT FREIGHT CARRIER’S CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVE FOR PROPER PROCEDURE.
2. CLAIMS BY THE CUSTOMER FOR ERRORS, DEFECTS OR SHORTAGES FROM THE MANUFACTURER MUST BE MADE IN WRITING WITHIN FIVE ( 5 ) DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF ORDER. FAILURE TO SUBMIT ANY CLAIM WITHIN FIVE ( 5 ) DAYS CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF GOODS AND WAIVERS OF ANY SUCH FUTURE CLAIM.
3. RETURNS FOR CREDIT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT FORMAL RETURN AUTHORIZATION. ( REFER TO PRODUCT WARRANTY FOR PROCEDURE ). IN ANY CASE, C.S.I. RESERVES SOLE RIGHT TO GRANT OR REFUSE RETURN AUTHORIZATION OF ANY GOODS ALREADY SHIPPED TO CUSTOMER.
